The first of a line of Sustainability Books is now available to purchase. The books have been written for early childhood Educators to provide a basic understanding of key environmental and sustainability issues.

The books are include great photographs by the very talented Sharron King who is a former childcare centre Director and now lectures in Childhood Studies at TAFE South East Queensland.


The text is put together by Tony Innes the major developer and author of the SMALL GREEN STEPS program. As a result the book and the subsequent titles to follow are a great companion resource to the SMALL GREEN STEPS program.


The first book is called SUSTAINABILITY FOR EDUCATORS and covers: national quality requirements, river pollution, deforestation, plastic pollution, landfill waste, the state of the planet, population growth and the impacts of climate change.

This book helps Educators fulfill Step 9 of SMALL GREEN STEPS Level One that requires Educators to acquire a basic understanding of sustainability and climate change.


The book is written in easy to understand terms and no previous understanding of sustainability is required.
